Curiolite (“we”, “our”, “us”) respects your privacy.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how it is stored and shared, and the choices available to you when using the Curiolite web application (the “Service”).
We design Curiolite to collect as little personal data as reasonably necessary to provide and maintain the Service.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information that is necessary to operate the Service and provide its features.
a. Account Information
When you create or use a Curiolite account, we may collect:
- Email address used for authentication
- System-generated user ID
- Account-related information required to maintain your membership and access
We do not intentionally collect unnecessary profile information or personal identifiers that are not required for the Service.
b. Learning & Usage Data
Curiolite may store information related to your use of the Service, such as:
- Content or posts viewed
- Feed or learning progress
- Category or content preferences
- Basic interaction information required to maintain your learning state
This information is used to provide continuity, maintain relevant features, and improve the reliability of the Service.
c. Discussion & User-Generated Content
If Curiolite provides discussion or community features, information you choose to submit may be stored, including:

User-generated content may be visible to other Curiolite users according to the functionality of the relevant feature.
You should avoid posting personal, sensitive, confidential, or unnecessary information in publicly visible discussions.
d. Notification Data
If you choose to enable browser notifications, we may store a browser-generated push subscription token or similar technical information required to deliver those notifications.
This information is used only to provide notifications you have opted into.

e. Payment & Membership Information
When you purchase a Curiolite membership, payments may be processed through third-party payment providers such as Razorpay.
Curiolite does not request or store your complete card number, UPI PIN, CVV, or other sensitive payment credentials.
We may receive and retain payment-related information necessary to operate membership services, such as:
- Payment or order identifiers
- Payment status
- Payment amount and currency
- Payment date and related transaction information
- Membership plan and access period
- Refund or payment-status information
Payment providers may separately collect and process payment information according to their own privacy policies and terms.
f. Technical Information
When you use the Service, certain technical information may be processed as part of normal operation, security, and infrastructure, such as:

- IP address or network information where made available to our infrastructure providers

- Technical logs required for security, debugging, and service operation
We do not use this information to create advertising profiles or track users across unrelated services.
2. Information We Do Not Intentionally Collect
Curiolite is designed to minimize unnecessary data collection.
We do not intentionally collect:

- Advertising profiles
- Precise location tracking
- Contact lists or address books
- Social graphs unrelated to Curiolite features
- Personal information for sale to advertisers
Please do not submit sensitive personal information through public discussion features.

- Maintaining learning progress and preferences

- Providing and managing memberships

4. Third-Party Services
Curiolite relies on selected third-party service providers to operate parts of the Service.

- Browser push notification delivery
- Other essential infrastructure required to operate the Service
For example, Curiolite may use Supabase for authentication and database infrastructure and Razorpay for payment processing.
These providers may process information according to their own privacy policies and terms.
We aim to use third-party services only where reasonably necessary to provide, secure, or maintain the Service.
5. Cookies & Local Storage
Curiolite may use essential cookies, local storage, or similar browser technologies for purposes such as:
- Authentication
- Session management
- Saving preferences
- Maintaining necessary application state
We do not use advertising cookies or tracking technologies designed to build marketing profiles across unrelated websites.
Some third-party services may use their own technical mechanisms as part of providing their services.
6. Payments
Membership payments may be processed through Razorpay or another payment provider made available by Curiolite.
When you make a payment, the payment provider may process payment information required to authorize and complete the transaction.
Curiolite may receive payment confirmation, transaction identifiers, payment status, and other information necessary to activate membership, maintain payment records, handle refunds, prevent fraud, and provide support.
Curiolite does not store card numbers, CVVs, UPI PINs, or similar sensitive payment credentials.
7. Data Storage & Security
Curiolite uses trusted infrastructure providers to store and process data.
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, including access controls, authentication protections, and secure communication where appropriate.
However, no internet service or storage system can guarantee absolute security.
If we become aware of a security incident that requires notification under applicable law, we will take appropriate steps to respond and provide any required notices.
8. Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.
Different types of information may be retained for different periods.
For example:
- Account information may be retained while your account remains active.
- Membership and payment records may be retained as necessary for accounting, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, legal, or regulatory purposes.
- User-generated content may remain available while associated with an active account or feature, subject to deletion, moderation, and operational requirements.
- Technical and security records may be retained for a reasonable period to maintain and protect the Service.
When information is no longer required, we may delete or anonymize it, subject to applicable legal and operational requirements.
9. Account Deletion & Data Requests
You may request deletion of your Curiolite account and associated personal information by contacting us.
We will review and process legitimate requests within a reasonable timeframe.
Some information may need to be retained where required by law or reasonably necessary for legitimate purposes such as fraud prevention, payment reconciliation, dispute resolution, security, or maintaining required business records.
Deletion of an account may also result in loss of access to associated membership features and user-generated content, subject to applicable requirements.

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights relating to your personal information, which may include:
- Requesting access to personal information we hold about you
- Requesting correction of inaccurate information
- Requesting deletion of personal information
- Requesting information about how your data is used

11. Children's Privacy
Curiolite is not intentionally designed to collect unnecessary personal information from children.
Users must meet the minimum age requirement specified in our Terms & Conditions.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to Curiolite, our data practices, third-party services, or applicable legal requirements.
When we make changes, the “Last updated” date will be revised.
Where appropriate, we may provide additional notice for material changes.
Your continued use of Curiolite after an updated Privacy Policy becomes effective means that you acknowledge the updated policy.
